Green Office and the campaign „Smart Hunt“

We care about the environment in which we work, so it's important to follow the principles that a green office follows in its day-to-day operations.

Estonian Association for Environmental Management has awarded Rödl & Partner the Green Office Certificate, the aim is to continuously monitor and reduce the environmental impact of office operations, resulting in cost savings, sustainable use of natural resources, reduced waste and a healthier working environment. The main objective of the Association is to bring together enterprises, organizations and individuals, who need help, support and information related to corporate environmental management for solving environmental problems, reducing impact to the environment and ensuring sustainable development of the society.

We are particularly pleased with the Smart Hunt campaign, organized by Kuusakoski, (provider of recycling services with an international track record), where we collected all the surplus old small electronics, such as old phones, monitors, computer keyboards, mice, etc., and donated all this smart waste. For electronics, 99% of the materials they contain can be recycled at the end of their life.

In Estonia, around 50 tonnages of electronics are put on the market every day, all of which will eventually become disused, a burden on the environment and obsolete.

Electronic waste is the fastest growing type of waste. On average, every household in Europe has 72 pieces of electrical and electronic equipment, 11 of which are broken or no longer in use. Last year, the world generated an average of 7.5 kg of e-waste per person, it is going to rise to 9 kg per person by 2030.
